Taking A Dive

On the way back out though we run into a gang of Pyrolisks though, one of whom casts Gaze on Kaili, and:

  1. Kaili: 5
  2. Glitz: 4

Turns out Gaze for a Pyrolisk isn't petrify but instant death if it hits. Kaili must have just wanted that number 1 spot all to themself.

Glitz already had a Blizzaga cued up, so we couldn't raise Kaili before they were all dispatched, but Kaili is swiftly revived and healed up after the battle. Two fights later though:

  1. Kaili: 6
  2. Glitz: 4

He gets hit by Gaze again, this time by a smaller flock of them. I feel like they wanted that leaderboard to be out of question, because everyone else seemed to shrug the Gazes off, Ribbon or no...

During the trip to Onrac, staggered over a few fights everyone reaches Level 38 - we're still steadying climbing up through them, but it feels like the EXP level of enemies has somewhat plateaued, making it feel like it's a bit slower than it was.
