Back in the Canoe
We hop back in the canoe, and while the waters are still quite treacherous, we arrive back in our boat, and then back to Crescent Lake down the coast to check in with people there. We pop into the item store to stock back up, and given we're on 347,000 gil, we don't hold back, topping up to 99 of anything under 200 gil/item.
Be prepared and all that.
Sleepy fella still just wants to head to the cave, so he's no use to us right now. I pop my head in the Level 6 Black Magic store it turns out I have access to the spells. I get Glitz Thundaga (it's killed him twice now, so it must be good) and Quake. Heading over to the White Magic store though, I initially think that's still locked out, but it seems it's only Exit that's locked. Weird.
In that case, I get Clair Stona, to save on Gold Needles, and Protera to try and toughen us up a bit when we need it, which feels like it's more and more often recently.
I head to the east of town, and the Sages still seem to have the same banter, so I beat a hasty retreat to my boat and make my way to Melmond, so see if my hunch about Watts is right. He does have a name after all...
