Warping into the Skies
We ascend to 3F, and our first battle there is with 5 Vampires. Something amused me about how we're now getting thrown 5 enemies that were previously a boss as a random encounter. It was established that Vampires were the pawns of the Fiends, so perhaps that one in the Earth Shrine was just a one that liked to travel.
3F is a lot smaller than the last 2 levels though, and we enter the centre again to be greeted by a hooded monster in our way. It's just a Blue Dragon though, which we've been fighting regularly already. A quick victory and we talk to the golem behind:
...use the WARP cube to travel...beyond the SKY...
...it WILL take you to the...flying FORtress...
Well, if you insist...
We step onto the portal and we're teleported to the Flying Fortress.
It looks like we have 3 storerooms with chests in on 1F, which I'll aggregate the goodies here:
- Razer
- Healing Helm
- Protect Ring
The other 7 chests containing assorted amounts of cash, plus a Potion which I couldn't pick up and therefore disappeared into nothingness.
As we travel between the rooms, we're fighting a lot of enemies called Black Knights. I'm slightly disappointed that you can't remove a limb or two a la Monty Python, but I guess that's asking a lot for a game originally from 1987.
