Charmed I'm Sure
I'm sure Matoya will be glad to have her eye back, but just in case, I save before entering. She's not mad, but she does demand her eye back. Sort of fair, but a bit abrupt. In exchange though, we get a potion, which she declares is "the most amazing potion in my entire collection". I hope it's got prince-awakening properties. Given it's called "jolt tonic", we might have struck the jackpot.
Matoya is glad she can see again, but then tells us "I don't need you any more, so be on your way!". She also comments that we're not as attractive as she thought we'd be. Maybe she's happy with her situation, but it's becoming quite clear why she's living in an isolated cave alone.
I take this opportunity to head back to Elfheim before she notices I cleared out her chests on my first visit, and go to see the Prince and Healer. I think we got there in the end. Fortunately at this point, the encounters are more of an inconvenience than a problem, and No Encounters is starting to feel more like a quality-of-life improvement than a cop-out. I resist though, for now.
