The Gamer's Dilemma
I head back to Crescent Lake, and heading to the White Magic store, I discover that we couldn't get spells here even if we wanted to.
After pretty much circumnavigating the map, and finding plenty of towns in the north that I can't dock at, I figure the trick to what we're after has to be somewhere in among that. I guess my question at the moment though is whether it's better to look up what to do, or to keep blindly searching.
I'm going to be frank, it's past the point of being fun trying to work out where to go - I'm sort of just doing trial and error this point, and I wonder if it's worth biting the bullet and looking something up online. It feels against the spirit of this, but also might help the spirit of it keep going in another way.
At the very least, No Encounters is looking really tempting at the moment...
I'm not sure where I last checked in level-wise, but we're now all at Level 27, which is probably healthy for whatever comes next, but all of the fights out on the seas and the oceans are now truly trivial.
I try Cornelia again, talking to everyone, and a wizardly looking man mentions that Lukahn - the sage of the prophecy we're apparently here to enact - has found the crescent moon, and mentions that the Sages of Crescent Lake might know something about a canoe? I didn't see anyone when I was last there, but I'm going to try again...
