Some Sage Advice
Elfheim did have sages of its out dotted about, and talking to the one next to the armour shop, we see some progress in their memories:
By the power of the levistone, a great sail rises into the sky from the sand sea below the crescent!
That's a solid hint to be fair. The big desert we were looking at earlier seemed like it could be a sand sea. I'm a little nervous at the level of enemies it might contain, but we've re-normalised getting knocked out recently, so maybe it's less of an issue than I'm making it out to be.
The sage near the Black Magic store has the following insight:
In the dark abyss above the crescent, to the north beyond the smouldering mountain, the levistone sleeps.
Something awaits you there...
Better late than never - I guess this is the right place for getting up to date with the next batch of tips, and I guess we need to find a sand sea...
Heading towards Crescent Lake, I notice a much smaller desert directly south of it. A bit of tactical canoeing later, and walking onto the desert, a cutscene triggers - the Warriors of Light get the levistone and in an example of the finest 2.5D graphics, the airship sprouts out of the desert, and into our possession!
