Back to the Castle
Sarah comes to, and seems surprised to see that she's being rescued at all, let alone by 4 random warriors that she's never seen before. But at least her upbringing has taught her manners, and she's very thankful, saying it's the first time that anyone's defeated Garland. I'm not sure if I missed a line saying whether he's Cornelian or not, but clearly his reputation preceded him. Given how low-level we are though, that just might say more about the people he's faced than him...
She whisks us away back to the throne room, for second time in an hour, no less. Clearly the enemies that we were dealing with there and back are no longer of concern.
As we get thanked for returning Sarah to Cornelia, I notice that the King is literally titled "The King". I sort of love that. I wonder if we'll find any more kings on our journey, and whether they'll have to qualify their kingliness, in the shadow of The King.
He's also now convinced that we're the Warriors of Light from Lukahn's Prophecy:
"When darkness veils the world, four Warriors of Light shall come. If they cannot gather the shards of light, the darkness will consume all. The four Crystals will never shine again..."
He points us in the direction of the first Crystal, which I realise is alway capitalised, and is on the continent to the north. Apparently we need to hurry and restore them to get rid of the monsters plaguing the world. Again I can't help but think we only just arrived here less than an hour ago. It feels like a lot to drop on a gang of people passing through...
Also, he states that he's going to get that bridge to the north rebuilt.
