Final Fantasy I - The First Hour

The Real Journey Begins

Clearly my barometer for what's a manageable job for an army and what isn't is totally out of calibration in this world, as while saving the Princess is out of their retinue, they proceed to bridge the strait to the mainland in approximately 20 seconds. Amusingly they also then question what it has to do with the prophecy after they've completed this massive civil engineering project. The answer they get is just that "the four Warriors of Light are here", which to me doesn't answer the question, but I'm not going to look a gift bridge in the mouth.

The Princess gives us a lute too that Garland apparently stole - "A sonorous instrument of great beauty." - given it's a key item, I'm sure it'll come in handy later. A bit more exploration of the castle says that the weapons rooms are also sealed with the mystic key, which is held by the elf king - at least we now have an idea for that too.

I head out onto the overworld, and go to save after that update, and we're exactly at 1 hour. A perfect time to wrap up and ruminate on things.

Maybe even write a blog post about it.
